I left a lot of things behind to be here Not sure if it’s the best decision I’ve made I’ve got to just hang on in there Accomplish what I can and stick with it, stick with it To the south all the birds have flown To the south all the birds have flown And I’m longing for home And I’m longing for home Met a handful of people some are my new friends Spend a lot of time with myself This is a journey I’ve encountered Thinking about what’s going on when I’m not around, keepin my head up and my feet on the ground It’s gonna be cold as hell It’s already cold in the fall So just remember Just remember me in Montreal I’m just scraping by Got a low paying job but my aspirations fly I’ll give it all I’ve got And shut away my emotions and keep on keepin on To the south all the birds have flown To the south all the birds have flown And I’m longing for home And I’m longing for home And I’m longing for home And I’m longing for home

I can remember gazing in your eyes and I remember feeling hypnotized And I didn't know what I was gonna do And didn't you know why I was so blue? You left me hangin' on a string And I don't want to feel that again I can't tell you what is' done to me And I can't tell you now that I'm free But I've moved on now, overcome my biggest fear I've moved on now, cried out all my tears You left me hangin' on a string And I don't want to feel that again You left me hangin' on a string And I don't want to feel that again

I am leaving in two months It'll pass by like nothing My chance to start all over Is this really what I want? I'm gonna miss all the visits All the smiles and all the laughter These are the times to remember Oh remember to keep in touch So many things to say Chances and opportunities gone astray There's no reason I should stay I'm going away Things are so fresh in the beginning Lots of new friends, it depends Mistakes were made, poor choices I'm afraid That's how we learn the lessons of life There are no teachers to make my decisions No teachers for my religion So many things to say Chances and opportunities gone astray There's no reason I should stay I'm going away
4.
What am I doing here? Am I just wasting my time So many things on my mind Make the right choice Hope I don't fade away I'll be back with you some other day….yeah Are you feeling low? I don't know what to think Were all your feelings genuine? Now I'm without you Oh I've lost a friend Got to start all over again But I'm feeling better all the time Feeling better Feeling better all the time Feeling better Now I'm out of here Oh I'm on my way What else can I say? So my time has come I think it's time to change Thoughts in my head all rearanged But I'm feeling better all the time Feeling better Feeling better all the time Feeling better
5.
Maybe I'll call you tomorrow Maybe Should I wait for tomorrow to come? Should I? Try to remember and be honest Get away from those superficial norms And walk with me, hands in hands As our eyes connect, and we fly away Lips together in my arms forever If you could read my mind Then you'd realize what's going on If you could read my mind Then you'd realize what's true The only thing is you Forget about your past Because you're not being judged Realize what's right, what's going on And I won't kid myself Maybe I'm not the one But I'll try, oh I'll try If you could read my mind Then you'd realize what's going on If you could read my mind Then you'd realize what's true The only thing is you

Puddin' 04:20
Nobody said it'd be easy Nobody said It'd be bad Sitting out on your steps, believe me Smoking cigarrettes again You're really getting to me Really getting to me down deep I see you looking at me I can't stand to see you sad Oh Puddin' I know you've got a lot on your mind And I don't want to be a burden You'll see that in some time Everything will be just fine I know I say things I don't mean I say things you don't deserve You mean the world to me, you do I could say the words, but I'm reserved Oh Puddin' I know you've got a lot on your mind And I don't want to be a burden You'll see that in some time Everything will be just fine You mean the world to me You mean the world to me, you do You're the best thing I've had You mean the world to me You mean the world to me, oh yeah You're the best thing I've had

There's a connection between us Of unspoken feelings, unspoken words Sharing smiles, those gorgeous eyes It's never just the two of us, and if it was, girl I'd make you realize She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy And he's my friend But what can I do, I'm feeling down Tempting feelings, tempting desires She's so naturally, beautifully Oh God, why is it like this? Why is it like this? My love to you I'll send But all of this I just have to pretend She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy And he's my friend If I could freeze time Then you'd realize A way around this And come back to me, back to me My love to you I'll send But all of this I just have to pretend She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy She's got a guy, she's got a guy, she's got a guy And he's my friend
8.
You got me before with those big brown eyes But it won’t happen again no, no Thought we’d been through this before Just gonna be friends You got a new man now but you still hang around I guess it all depends I’m tempted but can’t make the same mistake twice I’m feeling but I’m not thinking right You think its fine Yeah, you think its fine but not this time You think its fine but not this time So out of the sky you fall back into my life And is there one good reason Why hadn’t you kept in touch before I don’t want to get even So go back to your life and to your new man Leave me behind I’m tempted but can’t make the same mistake twice I’m feeling but I’m not thinking right You think its fine Yeah, you think its fine but not this time You think its fine but not this time

Losing Faith 04:56
A dream come true That's what it seemed Everything's coming together In my stomach butterflies streamed Fortune, prestige, and fame Surround me as I float Is this all serious? Or is it just a joke? You can't help but get excited When things sound your way I don't like to be negative But I'm losing faith The talk is around You're gonna be a star But I'm not sure if it'll get that far You can't help but get excited When things sound your way I don't like to be negative But I'm losing faith A dream come true That's what it seemed Everything's coming together In my stomach butterflies streamed

I'm sorry, I could have paid you more affection I could have called more often I took what I had for granted And sorry I didn't convince you to stay with me You set yourself free Now go on without me I tried, but I was new to the whole Concept of loving you I miss your laugh and your soft smile And all the times we danced in each other's eyes There was no one I'd rather see You set yourself free Now go on without me
11.
Expectations of myself are so very high I'm never good enough it seems and I don't know why Broken down on the road, people pass me on by I know my potential, and I know my place Opportunities come and gone like a punch in the face Still I ain't giving up this stupid dream of mine Benn knocked to the floor, been under the lights Fell flat on my face, and as my disguise Cheap beer and cigarrettes drown away my day But then I got you, you never let me down Like I'm sitting on a thrown, like I'm wearing a crown And I don't deserve half the smiles I see There's other fish in the ocean, other trout in the stream But you chose me, and so it may seem I'm stuck in this dream, and I don't want to pinch myself And I want you to know that I love you Whether it may show And I'll never let you fall down, so don't you forget I want you to know So I'll play this song, I'll strum my guitar The path I want to ride is so wide and so far So pleased I picked you up along the way The road might get bumpy, might even dead end But at least I got you, and a couple of friends To pick up the phone if ever I should call And if I go away, away from your arms You know I'll come back, no matter how far I'd hitchhike home to see those big brown eyes So I'll untie my gloves and loosen the cleats It's as clear as a bell sunlight peeking through the trees With you by my side, I am finally complete And there's no place to run, and I don't want to hide Every inch of my soul, every ounce of my pride Makes me realize, you've taken the thorns from my side And I want you to know that I love you Whether it may show And I'll never let you fall down, so don't you forget That I want you to know that I love you Whether it may show And I'll never let you fall down, so don't you forget I want you to know

Let Loose 05:50
Everything is fine when you're not around Said I'm ok when you're not around But when I see you, there are fireworks in my head Things go smooth when you're not there I'm really fine when you're not there But when we meet, oh you're the only one I see If we could just let loose one night If we could just let loose one night of our lives one night If we could just let loose one night of our lives Cause I know things would be alright Then we'd go back to separate lives And not think of this, let it run out of my mind Until the next time If we could just let loose one night If we could just let loose one night of our lives one night If we could just let loose one night of our lives Cause I know things would be alright
13.
How will you ever know how I feel for you If you never ask How will you ever know how I feel for you If we just let time pass It hurts so much to see you Not knowing the things I should do As I wipe the tears away How could you forget the day that we first met We were caught in one big dance How could you forget the day that we first met I want another chance It hurts so much to see you Not knowing the things I should do As I wipe the tears away

about

This is my first independent release. I spent most of 2005 in the studio with producer Zack Proteau recording songs that I had written between the age of 16 though 26. I even had my parents and sister sing backup on the track "Hangin' on a String". I hope you enjoy!
